Batman: Gotham by Gaslight is directed by Sam Liu and stars Bruce Greenwood, Jennifer Carpenter, Scott Patterson, and is based off of the Elseworlds comic Gotham by Gaslight  by Brian Augustyn and Mike Mignola. Plot In an alternative Victorian Age Gotham City, Batman (Bruce Greenwood) begins his war on crime while he investigates a new series of murders by Jack the Ripper. Review One thing I want to get out of the way is that I have not read the Gotham by Gaslight comic so I have no idea how close it is to the book, but from what I've heard it is rather different in some parts. This is the third of DC's animated movies to be R-rated after Batman: The Killing Joke and Justice League Dark . This is rated R for "some violence", I can get that as there is quite a bit of blood, and some other almost R-rated things in there. Justicethon Day 8 No Spoilers Justice League is directed by Zack Snyder and stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Jason Momoa, Gal Gadot, Ray Fisher and Ezra Miller. Here we are. The Justicethon has come to an end. Plot  After the events of Batman v Superman , Batman (Ben Affleck) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) search to find three meta-humans, The Flash (Ezra Miller), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and Aquaman (Jason Momoa) to create a superteam, the Justice League, to stop Steppenwolf (Ciarán Hinds) and his army of Parademons from hunting down the three Mother Boxes. Review Let me just say that this movie is awesome ! I don't care what Rotten Tomatoes says, or that some people don't like it, this movie is awesome ! I'd say that with films such as this and Wonder Woman, the DCEU is taking a turn for the better, this isn't the greatest superhero film of 2017 ( Logan is) but this is pretty good. Justicethon Day 7 Wonder Woman is directed by Patty Jenkins and stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Danny Huston, Robin Wright and Connie Nielson. Wonder Woman is the fourth film in the DCEU and the second not directed by Zack Snyder. Plot Set in 1918, long before the other 3, Princess Diana (Gal Gadot) grows up on the Amazon island of Themyscira. American pilot Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) crashes offshore of the island and is rescued by Diana. After he tells Diana about World War I, she leaves her home in order to end the war. Review Let me just say: This is the best of the DCEU by far, it looks great, the story's great, the cast is great. Justicethon Day 4 Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is directed by Zack Snyder and stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams and Jesse Eisenburg. Plot It's been nearly two years since Superman's (Henry Cavill) battle with Zod (Michael Shannon) almost completly destroyed the city of Metropolis. The massive damage left many feeling angry and helpless, including crime-fighting billionaire Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck). Convinced that Superman is now a threat to humanity, Batman embarks on a personal vendetta to end his reign on Earth, while the conniving Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) launches his own crusade against the Man of Steel. Review I actually first saw this movie last year when I rented it from a RedBox before seeing Suicide Squad but I own the Blu-Ray now so I should stop rambling. Justicethon Day 3 Man of Steel is directed by Zack Snyder and stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, and Russel Crowe. Plot Man of Steel is pretty much a Superman origin story. He grew up in Smallville, learns who he really is, and has to save earth from Zod. Review I didn't see this when it came out because I wasn't really watching that many movie in 2013, so I rented this last year so I could understand Batman v Superman, and I watched that to understand Suicide Squad . When I first saw this, I thought it was just ok. On second viewing I enjoyed it more, but still don't love it. Zack Snyder is an ok director based off the three movies I've seen from him. Justicethon Day 2 Justice League: War is directed by Jay Olivia and stars Christopher Gorham, Justin Kirk, Shemar Moore and Jason O'Mara. So I just watched this movie   for the first time today, and I can say that it's good, not great or bad, but good . Plot Justice League: War is pretty much an origin story about how the Justice League started. It has Batman and Green Lantern discovering a Mother Box, some sort of alien computer, and they go to Superman to ask if he knows what it is, he doesn't. It also has the origin of Cyborg in it too, as the son of a scientist studying a Mother Box supplied by The Flash. It explodes when he grabs it this summons Parademons to the building, leaving Victor (Cyborg) injured and he is rebuilt as Cyborg. A while later and several portal bringing Parademons on to Earth later, Darkseid invades Earth and after a long battle, he is defeated. Review As I said, this movie was just good . Justicethon Day 1 Justice League: The New Frontier is based off of the comic series DC: The New Frontier . I have not read the comic so I'm only talking about the movie. The the movie is set in the 1950's and even has the art style of the Golden age of comics. The film  is about the Justice League forming to take down this floating island, The Centre, though they don't really team up until around near the film's end. It shows J'onn J'onzz before he became Martian Manhunter, as he spends a small portion of the movie disguised as a detective. Hal Jordan is a Korean War pilot who gets shot down, then recruited for a mystery space program. He is soon contacted by a dying alien and given the Green Lantern ring. The Flash finds himself struggling to continue doing his super-heroics without being forced to agree with the government, so he announces his intention to stop being a hero altogether on television. Remember, remember the 5th of November, the gunpowder treason and   plot. I know of no reason why the gunpowder treason should ever be forgot. V for Vendetta is produced by the Wachowskis who did The Matrix and is based off of Alan Moore's amazing graphic novel of the same name. V for Vendetta is set in a future dystopian future where London is a police state occupied by a fascist government, and a vigilante known only as V (Hugo Weaving) uses methods of terrorism to fight the oppressors of the world in which he now lives. When V saves a young woman named Evey (Natalie Portman) from the Fingermen (secret police), he discovers an ally in his fight against England's oppressors.     This is definitely one of my favorite comic book films, and might be one of my favorite films in general.
