Nathan Talks Film

This is another one of my Spoiler Talks but this time it's for Ant-Man and the Wasp. One thing I want to get out of the way are the credits scenes. The mid-credits scene ties into Avengers: Infinity War with Scott going into the Quantum Realm and Hank, Janet, and Hope are supposed to bring him back after five seconds, but during the countdown, he loses contact with them, and it cuts back to our world and they've just disintegrated at the result of Thanos' snap, leaving Scott alone in the Quantum Realm. The post credits scene is Scott's house, no one there, an emergency test pattern on the TV. Deserted. And then we get the giant ant that fills Scott's place playing electronic drums. It was in the trailer. If you're editing a trailer, don't put the post credits scene in there. I want to talk about the villain, Ghost. If she can fade in and out of solid matter and can pass through solid matter, why haven't we seen her before? If she was around before ...

Ant-Man and the Wasp is directed by Peyton Reed and stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, Michael Peña, Lawrence Fishburne, Hannah John-Kamen, Walton Goggins, and Michelle Pfeiffer. Plot In the aftermath of Captain America: Civil War , Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a superhero and a father. As he struggles to re-balance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he's confronted by Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) and Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside The Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from their past. Infinitython day 16 or 17, I skipped yesterday so I don't know or really care Spider-Man: Homecoming is directed by Jon Watts and stars Tom Holland, Robert Downey Jr., Michael Keaton, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Zendaya, Donald Glover (#glover4spiderman), Jon Favreau, and Marissa Tomei. Infinitython Day 15 Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is directed by James Gunn and stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Sylvester Stallone, Karen Gillian, Pom Klementieff, and Kurt Russel. Plot After saving Xandar from Ronan's wrath, the Guardians are now recognized as heroes. Now the team must help their leader Star Lord (Chris Pratt) uncover the truth behind his true heritage. Along the way, old foes turn to allies and betrayal is blooming. And the Guardians find that they are up against a devastating new menace who is out to rule the galaxy. Review Well, 15 days. Infinitython Day 14 Doctor Strange is directed by Scott Derrickson and stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Benedict Wong, Mads Mikkelsen, and Tilda Swinton. Infinitython Day 11 Avengers: Age of Ultron is directed by Joss Whedon and stars Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Don Cheadle, Paul Bettany, Samuel L. Jackson, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, and James Spader. Plot After finding intelligence in Loki's scepter, Tony Stark and Bruce Banner use it to start Ultron (James Spader), a peacemaker, who soon uncovers the world's wrongs, and plans to rid human error. With help from experimented human beings turned allies, the Avengers search to hunt for Ultron, who is trying to make a synthetic human body to upload his mind into. Review Is this movie as good as The Avengers ? No. Is it still good? Yes. This movie definitely isn't as The Avengers , but it is really entertaining. Infinitython Day 10 Guardians of the Galaxy is directed by James Gunn and stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, and Michael Rooker. Plot After discovering a mysterious orb in another part of the galaxy, Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) from Earth, is now the main target of a manhunt led by the genocidal villain Ronan the Accuser (Lee Pace). Being hunted across the galaxy, Quill gets lumped together with a group of misfits that need to learn how to get along before they can become the Guardians of the Galaxy. Review I think this is the first time Marvel has released two great films in a row, as this came out the same year as Captain America: The Winter Soldier , which is also a great superhero movie. This film, much like Iron Man , made characters that pretty much only comic book fans knew about and made them mainstream. This movie is just very entertaining. Infiniftython Day 9 Captain America: The Winter Soldier  is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo and stars Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Robert Redford, and Samuel L. Jackson. Plot Steve Rogers (Chris Evans), finding it easier to acclimate to the modern society as a soldier of S.H.I.E.L.D, learns that the organization has been compromised and a Soviet assassin known as The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) will stop at nothing to kill Captain America, which leads him uncover a truth that will change everything. Review This movie is definitely one of the best MCU films ever made, definitely in the top 5. This is a fantastic movie, I don't even know where to start with it. Infinitython Day 8 I'm going to address the poster right away, this was a piece of fan art somebody made and a theater in China actually used it.  And after seeing it, I had to use it for the review. Plot After saving New York from an alien invasion, Tony Stark buries himself deeper into his work by building a ton of new and improved Iron Man suits. He also starts having constant nightmares and doesn't know why. But deep in the shadows, a new menace called the Mandarin (Ben Kingsley) starts orchestrating a series of terrorist attacks all over the world. When his home is demolished and his suits are destroyed, Stark begins a personal journey to finding out the truth about the bombings and tracking down whoever is truly responsible. Little does Stark know however is that someone else from his past has his own plans against him and proves to be even more powerful than Stark realizes. Review This feels more like a sequel to The Avengers  more than it does to Iron Man 2, just like how Iron Man 2  feels more like an Avengers ...

Infinitython Day 5 Captain America: The First Avenger is directed by Joe Johnston and stars Chris Evans, Hugo Weaving, Tommy Lee Jones, Hayley Atwell, Dominic Cooper, Sebastian Stan, and Stanley Tucci. Plot Steve Rogers (Chris Evans), a rejected military soldier transforms into Captain America after taking a dose of a "Super-Soldier serum". But being Captain America comes at a price as he attempts to take down war monger Red Skull (Hugo Weaving) and terrorist organization HYDRA. Review One thing I forgot to mention in my review of The Incredible Hulk is that there is a deleted scene where if you look closely, you can see Captain America's body and shield.  I don't even know if Chris Evans was cast as Captain America yet, I probably doubt it, but it's still cool. Infinitython Day 4  Thor is directed by Kenneth Branaugh and stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins, Idris Elba, Kat Dennings, and Stellan Skarsgard. Plot The warrior Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is cast out of the fantastic realm of Asgard by his father Odin (Anthony Hopkins) for his arrogance and sent to Earth to live among humans. Falling in love with scientist Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) teaches Thor much-needed lessons, and his new-found strength comes into play as a villain from his homeland sends dark forces toward Earth. Review So Thor isn't too bad actually, it's definitely better than Thor: The Dark World , but not as good as Thor: Ragnarok , which some of you may remember was my first ever review on this blog. Infinitython Day 1 Quick announcement: Before I get into the review, I want to say that I won't be seeing Avengers: Infinity War until a few days after it comes out. Due to some scheduling stuff, I'll most likely be seeing a few days after it comes out. Finally got to see this. Black Panther is directed by Ryan Coogler and stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Martin Freeman, Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira, and Daniel Kaluuya. Plot After the events of Captain America: Civil War , King T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman) returns home to the reclusive, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to serve as his country's new leader. However, T'Challa soon finds that he is challenged for the throne from factions within his own country. When two foes conspire to destroy Wakanda, the hero known as Black Panther must team up with C.I.A. agent Everett K. Ross (Martin Freeman) and members of the Dora Milaje, Wakandan special forces, to prevent Wakanda from being dragged into a world war. Review This actually was a really good MCU movie.
