Venom - Spoiler Talk

So, I just did my spoiler free review of Venom, and now I'm going to talk about spoilers for Venom.

The plothole I mentioned in the main review is that in the beginning the evil Symbiote (sorry if I don't know it's name) is possessing this old woman and it's goal is to get to San Fransisco, and it arrives six months later. Um, what was it doing all that time? It could've just gone immediately. Also, that old woman gives the evil symbiote to a little girl, and I'll bring this up later.

So Eddie is a reporter, and when he tries to take down Drake (the villain) by accusing him of killing test subjects after snooping on his fiance's (Michelle Williams) laptop, he gets fired for this, which also gets her fired, so she breaks up with him and Eddie starts living in a junk apartment in Chinatown.

So one of Drake's workers brings Eddie into the laboratory where their testing the symbiotes on homeless people, and one of them happens to be a friend of Eddie, so he breaks the glass to get her out and that symbiote just happens to be Venom.

So later Eddie tries to tell his ex about how he has this thing in him, but he makes a scene at the restaurant, sits in the fish tank and eats a live lobster.

Later, Drake's guys go to Eddie's apartment, Venom kills most of them, and this leads them on a chase, and this brings up one of the (possibly unintentionally) funny lines in the movie where Venom said he would eat a guy's heart, lungs, and pancreas, I mean that's scary, right?

Later the little girl from earlier somehow finds her way into Drake's lab and gives him the symbiote, which makes him the evil Venom or something.

So Eddie goes to the building he used to work for, and Venom gets him to the top floor, and Eddie leaves his phone on his old boss's desk to prove that Drake is bad and Venom tells Eddie to jump out the window, but Eddie doesn't and he just takes the elevator and Venom calls him a pussy. I will admit, that was kinda funny. All these guards are pointing their guns at Eddie and Venom kills them. This brings me to something I forgot to bring up in my main review: Venom should've been R-rated. They keep talking about how Venom likes to eat people's heads, and he does this more than once, but there's no blood anywhere when he does this, not even any shadows. I heard that Sony wanted this PG-13 so they could do a crossover with Spider-Man in the future.

Which before I get back to the story, I want to bring this up, Sony says that this is in the same world as Spider-Man: Homecoming, but it's not part of the MCU. Hmmm....

So anyway, Anne just happens to show up there looking for Eddie and sees him as Venom, so she brings him to the hospital where they remove the symbiote from Eddie, which escapes through the vent and makes it's way into a dog, which was funny but wasn't sure if it was supposed to be.

Eddie is powerless without Venom and Drake's guys are in the forest with him, and Venom, but possessing Anne kills them and gives the symbiote to Eddie by kissing him, which just made me think "how did she get the symbiote from the dog?".

So Eddie and Venom go to Drake's where a CGI fight between two symbiotes happens. Seeing both of them forming together was pretty awesome, and so was the fight, and evil Venom tries to go into space, but normal Venom stops him, and it's believed that the symbiotes are gone forever, but after Eddie finishes talking to Anne, it turns out that Venom is still inside and still talks to him. And we get the Stan Lee cameo in this scene.

The scene after this is when Eddie goes into the convenient store where the cashier is held at gunpoint so Venom bites off his arms, legs, and face and turns him into an armless, legless, faceless thing like a turd in the wind. Why do they have to put the last scene in the trailers? This goes for other movies too.

Then we get a credits scene with Eddie interviewing Woody Harrelson but with red curly hair in prison and they tease him as Carnage.

And after that we get a scene from the upcoming Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

Well, those were my spoiler thoughts on Venom.
